Born in a farmer turned teacher family Saroj Pandey was brillient student in the academics and was very fond of social work activities which afterwards turned her to choose social work as full time job as a medium for her self satisfaction.
DEVELOPMENT being her basic focus led her to walk miles in the politics as well. Now she is National Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party. She is from Chattisgarh state in India and studied M.H.Sc.. She has held party positions at state level. She was twice elected as Mayor of Durg.
She has just won the election and elected as MLA of vaishali nagar, newly formed vidhan sabha, she is the first MLA of vaishali nagar, won with more than 22,000 votes and it's a record made by her in whole Durg District she is the first lady to win with that huge gap.
She developed the durg within two years after becoming the mayor and turned the look of old durg to a new modern city and the same model was appreciated by the government and hence the corporation was nominated as the best municipal corporation in the entire chhattisgarh state. Her sincere hardworking nature and availability at any time to solve the problem of the poor and citizens of the city makes her very popular and obvious choice among the ladies, youngsters and senior citizens for whome she had developed number of schemes such as Mahila Samruddhi Bazar, Senior citizen centre, Central library, Vivekanand Sabhagrih, Renovation of Rajendra park, Dada Dadi Nani Park and Beautification of number of squares.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) founded in 1980, is a major political party of India. Designed to represent the country's majority community and Centre-right in nature, the party advocates conservative social policies, self reliance, robust economic growth, foreign policy driven by a nationalist agenda, and strong national defense.
